Treating burns

jmartin104 Apr 22, 2005 01:02 PM

There was a post a little while ago concerning the treatment of a burned animal. I could not remember the solution that was prescribed for a rescue I had. I looked back over my files and found that the solution is Chlorhexidine. This was fairly effective.

As you know, there are several meds that can be used to treat burns. I used this with Neosporin and it worked quite well. That is, good. The animal seemed to enjoy the soakings as well. I sometimes forget that what we type can be drastically different than the spoken word.

....I just had to laugh because it wasn't usual for you to be so vauge in your writings...'fairly' effective suggests rather equivocal results in the medical world...again no criticism but because of your knowledge and detail orientation I HAD to say something...now, how many days before eggs?
