One beardie per enclosure is the best and safest route. 2 females of the same size can usually be housed together in a large enough space with seperate basking areas...BUT they sometimes decide to dominate the other and that can be BAD!

A few keep pairs together--but this seldome works out.

We keep one beardie per tank (75 gallon) and let the beardies 'socialize' with us!

In the wild beardies are solitary animals--getting together only long enough to mate.
