boaluvr123 Apr 22, 2005 11:25 PM

well ive been noticing this lately with my male breeder German giant, he seems to be twitching. I know this is the early signs of MBD/Calcium deficiency. Hes been getting calcium at every feeding. Rep cal. and hes under a 5.0 repti bulb. Hes 2 years old , and 600 grams , and 23 inches long. let me know , as id like it to not get worse. thanx.

twitching can also be a sign of vit b1 deficiancy,do you feed frozen veggies? you should also switch to a 8.0 bulb,5.0 isn't quite enough UVB for a beardie.

Hi
5.0 not enough??
i used them zalready 5 years they r good for beardies.
you only need to hang them close by in the 12 inch zone .
farther away then 12 icnh it wil not give good uv.
but you need replace him every 6 month for best results.
i must say i tested out even the mercury vapour diferent brands .
many lights burned out and broke ,i stil like the reptisun 5.0 .
