new home for zephyr

sarahadele Jul 10, 2003 09:01 PM

remember when i got him, and bought, at the same time, a 260g reptarium. none of us were happy with it but like i said there was NO other alternative. anyway, when i said he would be upgraded in a few months, i wasnt just saying that to end the discussion on how i had inadaquate housing (which was true)

on Monday we moved into our new floridian house, and Zephyr has an outdoor enclosure which is inside the screened-in area but still in the heat and sun. its almost triangluer, one side is 9 and a half feet long, one side if 8 and a half feet long, one side is 7 and a half feet long and the fourth small side is 2 and a half feet long. he has a palm tree which he basks on and a few small ferns which help when he decided to jump down... he also loves to jump down, walk across the cement walkway and either sit and bask, or, when hes too hot, run to the opposite corner (same size, same trees, more ferns) and hide under the ferns to cool down. im going to be putting a small but sturdy fence type thing, any suggestions?? around the triangle enclosure to stop him from climbing down one day and pooping or drowing in the pool. if it werent for the pool hed be freeroaming the entire room.i might include a fence along *his* walkway and *his* other corner, although i wouldnt mind :::blushing::: adding another iguana to the family. lets see how i survive Zephyr, first. he still gets his daily bath, eating endive and banana and hibiscus and other favorites that i scatter around on the palm tree, and greeting-bob at me when i pick him up.

WOW! I'd love to see a picture as well What a lucky ig! I can't wait to start working on Tempest's new enclosure, although he's now finally starting to use all of his existing one. It sounds wonderful, I'm glad the slave-driver is asleep and can't ig-telepath what I'm reading about.
