with the size of that uro and the size of that snake, it just might be the other way around the snake and the uro are both really nice looking.

That is either a Monster Uro or a Really Small Blood. I was going to buy a juvenille Blood but then I saw an adult female at another store and was blown away by the sheer size (girth) of the thing. They get so insanely "fat" for a fairly short snake. I decided against getting the juvenille because I knew I would not have the room for it when it grew up. I knew your post was a joke before clicking on it, but you were right, the title did make me a tad bit curious!

That's my egyptian female, Cleo. She's gonna turn two at the end of summer and is a girthy 14.5 inches. The snake is my male blood python, Rambo. He was born in august 04 and is probably about two feet. I also have a female blood that's about 33 inches (i've attached some pics). Both of my bloods are surprisingly pretty tame. I love the fact that they don't get that long (as compared to the big pythongs like burms or retics) and that they get really GIRTHY for their size.
I don't mean to be off topic, but I also have a female suriname boa named Stoney. (i've also attached pics of her) I love her bluish/grayish tones! I've never seen a suri with that much blue.
I love being a herper! Uros, boas and pythongs kick A$$!
I've also attached a pic of my two egyptian females.
Too bad I'm still a grad student and don't have enough funds or room to really get the ball rolling. I plan on making a 'herp room' one day.

I sort of have a Herp Room, I started off with a few snakes and a Savannah Monitor in the Kitchen. At some point in time I decided to move the animals downstairs into the basement. Problem was, the basement was solidly filled with storage and junk. It took me 6 years to get it to the point it is now. I have painted all the walls and put up curtains and laid down carpet and cleared out almost everything that is not animal related. All I have left is under the workbench and a big section of the laundry room. I've hung vines all over the ceiling and have little plastic snakes and some butterflies and birds sitting in some of the vines. I'm working on stenciling ferns and leaves all over the walls. It will continue to be a labor of love for years to come as far as the final touch decorating. I just love it down there, and spend quite a bit of time there. You will love it when you get your own herp room. Only problem is that it brings with it the "goldfish syndrom". Your collection will quickly grow to the size of your room, like a goldfish growing to the size of the tank. I'm reaching the point now where I'll soon be out of room. I don't have any animals that I wish to sell, and many of my animals are young and will live for many many many years (God willing). I joke that I will have to trade away my husband next to make more room. I could fit a lot of herps in his little den where he listens to music and plays video games... Your Egyptians are really neat. I've never seen one in person. They sure do get huge! The Bloods are really nice too. Maybe some day I'll break down and get one. The only big snake I have is my Carpet Python. I sure love him. I'm hoping to get a yearling Irian Jaya as soon as the weather warms up enough to allow for shipping.

"Bear" Jungle/Coastal Carpet Python, 7 feet long, 10+ pounds

This is the yearling Irian Jaya I hope to get next month

i'm so jealous. i live on campus with a roommate, so i pretty much just have my own room for my 'herp collection' if you can call it that. is your husband into your herps too? i'm hoping to find a wife one day that is into herping as much as i am. a team collaboration would be optimal.
you've got quite a collection too.... i'm pretty sure one day i'll get like that. nice jungle/coastal! i didn't know they get that long. egyptians are great in person. they have great personalities and mine climb on my arm once i open the cage to clean it and are very interactive.
bloods are awesome! i love the deep red ones. both of mine are pretty tame. they don't get too big but they get realllyyy girthy.
i've never bred egyptians, bloods or boas. i've bred beardies last summer. i'm hoping in the next couple of years i'll be successfully breeding my herps although i need a male boa for my female. thanks for sharing your pics and your collection.

Nah, I stupidly married a non animal person. The jungle/coasal Carpet was my answer to him saying "No Snakes". He's since told me "No" to several other things, pretty much all of them are now in my collection. Needless to say he's learned not to say "No" to animals now since it usually results in my going out and getting it LOL... If I had it to do all over I'd definitely have held out for an animal lover. His priorities are gambling (he plays Poker 7 days a week) and video games. One of those "hind sight is 20/20" things. Definitely hold out for a girl who appreciates your interests. You won't regret it!
