male brooks pic

this is a hypo male i hatched out in '02. when he came out he was redder than a rusty nail (?!?), so far colorwise he is hanging in there.
some people think i'm nuts, others ignore me completely BUT i think that striping can occur in brooksi in a similar fashion to how it occurred in corns. i am not a pantherophis expert but i believe that striping came from the motley trait- extreme motley. some brooks exhibit an aberrant pattern along with patternless ventrals (i don't know if motleys originated from hypos).
seems like most people tend to shy away from aberrant or zig zaggy patterned brooks but i think there is some potential with selective breeding. beyond a theory i haven't gotten far...yet. i don't think this is the only way to a stripe as there are some out there already ( or maybe those have progressed this way) but i believe it can progress in this fashion.
got an opinion?

... I have noticed that certain "lines" of "brooksi" have a seemingly better chance of the degeneration of the bands into sort of stripes. Most often in the hypos. Sometimes the lack of any bands at all, in a fair length, gives the impression of a "reverse stripe" as well.
That is one reason I'm keeping this otherwise drab looking female from the fields.
