I'm not sure what kind of incubator you used, but I always have a back up thermostat on mine so this doesn't happen.

Was this really a yellow belly to yellow belly, or are these just young animals that have not developed pigment yet and your just joking around? That's a real bummer if you lost 3 ivories. A real huge bummer. I hate to see it, especially when I've been saying how great incubators are.

Let this be another lesson though. A back up thermostat is a must.

Very sorry for the unfortunate experience. What kind of thermostat or incubator were you using? Personally I have been using Helix Thermostats with good success. We have power failures almost daily here in Florida during summer thunderstorms, not to mention hurricane season, and I'm considering buying a backup generator for the incubators and a backup airconditioning unit (it does get 100F here, warm enough to cook your clutches)...
