second phase dart tank

feel free to comment on this ,its a 50 gallon , this will be my first dart tank , id like to put 4-6 of the blue ones here, and im still pondering about the water , dont want drowned frogs . next phase will be plants . ill wait and see how plants go but here is where im at .

Looks kinda bare. I know your going to put plants in, and that will help. I think you need a background, cork bark etc. Also some type of viv mix on top of the gravel so you can place some live moss in. I think a well planted viv with a background reduces stress on your frogs. Just my opinion.

ya , like i said next phase will be to plant it . and i failed to say some kind of back ground . im thinking cork bark or something of that sort . pics kind of stink but oh well . ill post after my next phase . just want to make sure the water features are going good befor i plant .

Your frogs won't drown in a water way as long as they have some kind of egress if the water is deep. Although they aren't aquatic, they can all swim well enough to get out onto a gentle slope or submerged log, according to Patrick Nabors previous advice to me. My galacs take an accidental bath in the aquarium portion of their paludarium every once in awhile. They like to try fishing for floating fruit flies and occasional tiny fish fry, and get over-enthusiastic. I have submerged logs in it that lead back to land, so they just swim over and climb back out. The only harm is to their dignity.

It looks like a good start on your vivarium.
