Do not use DHL!

caecilianman02 Apr 24, 2005 01:48 PM

Hello,

A few days ago, I ordered a female scarlet kingsnake via DHL. I was very, very lucky that it arrived alive and in good health, but if the weather had been colder, then I wouldn't have been so lucky.
The snake was shipped overnight. I was told that it would arrive at my door before 10:30 AM. At about 3:00 PM, I began to get worried. When I looked on their website, I found that it had been delivered to a receptionist somewhere. I asked about this, and they told me that the receptionist had been at our adress, and had signed for our package! Well, I don't live in an office building, so obviously, they had delivered the snake to the wrong adress. I hoped with all my heart that whoever currently had the package would not open it!
They told me that the driver had gone home, and that they didn't want to call him, so I'd have to wait until tomorrow, which I did. The next day, they called to tell me that the package was currently back with the driver, and to expect it between 2:30 and 3:00 PM.
I was a prisoner in my own home, waiting all day long for the truck to come. At 5:00 PM, it was finally dropped off. I am very glad that the scarlet kingsnake arrived in good health, but I certainly will never use this company again!

That is when you file a complaint with the company and then file another complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That is fully something that could have been avoided.
