Usually "most" of their mouth is black but I dont think all. I doubt its a problem but when geckos come from pet stores they are often dehydrated so make sure hes drinking right (mine likes to lap off glass and screen). Also give him a few wax worms as a treat and maybe a few silkworms/mealworms as well. I find that they dont like to leave their hide for the first week or so because of stress so crickets dont usually get eaten (need slow prey). Dont overdo it though or he'll get lazy

Congrats on your Tokay. I've had mine for over a year and he's the coolest. His mouth is black for the most part but he only gets real active when he is stressed. Your tokay may just need to get used to it's new home. Make sure he has some water and someplace he can hide. Hopefully all goes well.
