Looky looky at who's gonna father next years' IJs...

Yasser Jul 10, 2003 10:27 PM

This is a five year old male we are going to throw in our breeding goup next year. I can't wait already.
He is probably our best breedable male.
Hope ya like.

Nice IJ. I sure like the ones who retain alot of red. Good luck on getting some screamer babies from him.

There should be a few more babies hatching out next year so there's that many mor chances to get a real trophy IJ for your male. Unless I horde them...

Yasser, that's the best damn IJ I have ever seen. Hands down.

No kidding.

I don't know how many of you remember this, but I started a thread here quite a while ago titled something like: "Does anyone else think IJs are ugly?"

Well, Yasser I want to say that you, Anthony, and Will have completely changed my mind. I absolutely love those spectacular IJs that you two have. I can't believe how excited I am for the future of these snakes. If there are some of them that look this good now, what will the trophy specimens look like in ten years?

I'm a Jungle man myself (and always will be) and up until that post, I've always thought of Irians as bland snakes. No snake is ugly to me, but Irians were the equivalent of "Coastal-bland" in my eyes.

Boy, was I wrong.

...is to make IJs "Jungle bland" or even "Bredl bland".
IJs have so much potential. the specimens we hope to hatch out in the next several years will probably blow your doors off.
Between Anthony's pair and our group alon, there will be some amazing babies for sure.
Now Will on the other hand, just needs to leave the IJs alone and send his over to us. What is he thinking? He's a Jungle man! (hint, hint)

Not only are there these awesome bloodlines of IJs, but there's also these awesome new mutations coming out. Can you imagine what a granite IJ would look like when crossed into a really spectacular IJ?

Jake

Jeff Favelle Jul 13, 2003 03:36 PM

Irians still hve the possibility of being imported from the wild. They are the best bet to get a new mutation like albinism or striping, or anery, etc etc...

JakeM Jul 13, 2003 12:36 PM

The IJs that I'm not really into are the ones that look like a "low-quality" jungle. Have you seen Anthony's or Will's? They're extraordinary also.

Jake

Jeff Favelle Jul 13, 2003 03:39 PM

I mean, a bland Jungle is usually still quite pretty.

On the other hand, these Irians we're seeing from Will, Yasser, Anthony, etc etc are and will be competing for attractiveness with even the sreamiest of Jungle screamers Or at least pretty close.

How? Where? Why you? Dammit. lol

That thing is unreal. Looks like what I would expect a hypomelanistic Irian Jaya to look like.
