3 babies, conplex 20 high or bare bone system?

Lacrosseboss18 Apr 25, 2005 08:00 AM

I just purchased 3 baby CG. I originally planned on keeping them in a 20 High. Would this be too big for them. How should i change my keeping to better suit these animals. Would i be better in a bare bone 10 gallon tank. The 20 High is set up with a fake background, Coco bedding then a layer of moss.

Thanks for the help
Joseph

a 20 gal tank is rather small for three crested geckos. It may be ok for babies for awhile but deffinitely will need larger cage once they are older.

No this is certainly just a temp home. I was considering getting each a 10 gallon tank till they grow up a little. they are only a month old and very small. I was worried if they would have problems in a large tank or not, finding food and all.

Thanks

go with a barebone for the first couple months, paper towel substrate, 1 or 2 hides, makes it easier for them to eat and grow faster because of the ease of finding food. 6 months they can be moved into a larger tank, if there still healthy and none is yet showing signs that it is male. good luck with the new ones!

I keep my newborns in small kritter keepers and they do fine just make sure to fill it up with egg cartons you will have to move them into bigger enclosures though as they get older.
