Pros and Cons of Boaphiles........Visions..........etc.....

jayskee Apr 25, 2005 09:54 AM

I'm in the process of obtain some decent enclosures for my boas and have been trying to get some pros and cons about the boaphile and vision cages. Which one is more better, and any other companies that are decent. I'm interested in the 4 foot long styles. Thanks ................Joe

All the mentioned cages can work very well for you. Do some research yourself, because in the end, you'll get what you want to get and not what I or someone else suggests.

Habitat Systems has the nicest caging available for boas and pythons IMO. The cages are light in weight, strong, attractive, heat amazingly well and have the nice feature of being able to hold screws (i.e. for heat panels) and be patched if you want to cover screw holes that aren't being used anymore. These cages are pricey.

I have Visions and I like them for larger boids because the plastic material is easy to clean and very tough as far as being able to withstand abuse without damage. I've also used Boaphiles with success. Also check out www.cheapcages.com

I have experience with both visions and boaphiles. I personally perfur the boaphile cause i am not a huge can of the shape of the visions. Otherwise they both work out real well. If lighting is an issue i would go with visions as the boaphiles are limited to the light options.

Either way you cang go wrong.

was up....
Thanks for the reponses guys. I'm going to jump on the boaphile train. I'm going to get the 5 cage stack set of the 4 foot cages. I like what I hear from the boaphile side. I appreciate the opinions.
