tentacled snakes

I was curious as to how acidic the water should be for tentacled snakes and the best way to get tannins to leach out into the water, and water temps.

There are over the counter products like black water extract for tanic loving fish that you can buy at any good aquarium shop. Also I've heard of people using sugarless instant tea. tanic acid comes from rotting vegitation, so some leaves in the filter would work, I would just stick with the black water extract. Try to stablize the PH at 6.0. I would also recommend encouraging algae growth in the tank as there may be a symbiotic relationship. Tentacled snakes usually do not get skin infections until first the algae growth on them dies off. I wish I had the space to keep these, they rarely become available and probably won't be for long, good luck!
