Vision Cages v.s. Wooden Cages

aliaime Apr 25, 2005 04:15 PM

I was recently at an expo in New York. I am curious about purchasing a Vision cage because they hold humidity very well. With hand-built wooden cages, do they hold moisture well? What are the pros and cons?

In regards to wooden cages, I think the only thing I would worry about would be mold and mildew. Because the Rainbows need high humidity, the wood would be more likely to rot.

With the plastic cages, you don't have to worry about that.

Then again, I am no expert. That's just the first thing that popped into my mind.

Vision cages are very well made, and will likely last your life time....the wooden cages will not last as long....not to menchen they are heavy.
