Antegy I cannot reall tell but do you have a hide for that big burm in the pic? Do big burms need 2 hides or any at all? jw

Hey Rob,

Well, I don't any hide box in there for him. But that's not to say that I haven't ever tried. I've tried several times, with different size/types of hide boxes - and he practically destroys them (or at least, he wrecks the place inside his cage). He never really has shown much of any interest in it whenever I've tried to give him one. He either ignores it, or pushes it all around the cage and completely messes everything up.

So, no, I don't have one for him. But I do have some fake plants in there for him - in case he feels like "hiding in the bushes", or something to that affect.

Heres a blurry pic of my 2 vision cages.

modifiedloser Apr 27, 2005 12:05 AM

Top vision is my 6' albino green burm (male). Bottom one is an indo blue tongue that I rescued, the cage was empty and he had had a very bad life, so I gave him a mansion (for now, lol). The top right rubbermaid is a baby sumatran red blood (female), and the right one is an emporer scorpion.

I wouldnt worry about hides for large burms...
I would give babies one though.

Here are my HS cages. They are 96x30x24 with dividers, radiant heat panels, lighting, misting system and castors. My wife, Alison, and her miniature schnauzzer, Mr. Magoo (aka, Gooey) model the set-up for me. There'a a 72x28x18 Vision to the right. A female burm is in the top cage while a female purple phase albino retic and a male supertiger retic are in the bottom cage.
