Can't get there from here
but if it's the one I think is, it's more like 29 feet long. Still a biggun but not a 50 footer.

No. if you look around you can find this subject on other sights and i believe this one also it ended up only being like 18 ft guiness went to messure it and the zoo keeper said he couldnt believe it shrunk.Bob Clarks forums has a thread on it

Ha, thats funny. I was wondering why I didnt hear more about it. Seemed like an estimated length, but that they had it weighed well over the record. Thanks for the additional info.
Not sure, but I think they said it weighed in at about 400 lbs.
If you research the whole story, yeah they said 50ft and when it was measured it they said it shrunk! But it also was over a year from the time they claimed to have the snake to when it was put on display! Alot of folks say that because the tribe who had it WORSHIPED it , literally. That they went out and caught the next really big one they could find. Why would they give a GIANT snake that they worshiped to a zoo? Make's me wonder was the snake measured REALLY the same giant they worshiped? 50ft doubtly and new record possibly.
