Rescue boa, almost recovered

tredding Apr 25, 2005 08:45 PM

Well after hard work, she finished shedding today. The really bad eye cap is gone! Also more exciting is that signs of the resp. Infection are gone! no more mucus, saliva or gurgeling. I will give her one more injection tomorrow just in case. Here are some new pictures and I will ppost more of the before. For those of you who have not read my other post. This girl was handed off to me after being dumped at a pet store. She came to me with a bad eye cap a serious R.I. and belly rot.
The belly rot is going away but we still have work to do.
Despite years of neglect and living in dirty conditions with no heat, This 6 foot boa is the sweetest most sociable snake I have ever had.
So as a reward we are almost done with her new 6X2X2 cage with built in hide, underground hide, 2 built in heat lamps, and 2 feet of year round belly heat. I will post when it is done
Travis

She enjoys hanging out in the office most of the day, we keep the room at 80 degrees and she never wants to leave the shelf.
Maybe she is a beatles fan!
