Tips for successfully feeding pinkie mice...

fimboed Apr 25, 2005 10:42 PM

I can't seem to get my Giants to eat even the smallest pinkies. I've tried forcepts and all, but they just don't go for it. Obvioiusly I don't like to underfeed them so'll they be real hungry and take them, so I haven't had any success with the pinkies so far. I'd like to be able to feed them every now and then as a dietary supplement for calcium/protein/fat etc. Any tips?

i used to feed my male henkels' frozen fuzzies when my snakes wouldnt want them. they used to take them whenever i offered them with forceps. i try to feed all of my animals by hand this way its easier to monitor their diets. but it seemed like they just kinda lost interest in them after a while. Honestly, if you have a surplus of pinkies because of snakes or whatever and it would be convenient for you, you should let them go hungry for a little while. then you should try maybe a half of a [frozen]pinky if its not too gruesome for you. but otherwise, crickets, roaches, and superworms work just fine.
