Hey how's Turquoise & the turtle gang doing?
After months of being terrified every time I walked near, Charity our big rescued boxie girl has begun to chill out. She's taking long baths now instead of freaking out over it, she's eating in front of me now as long as I don't get too close. She seems to be happy now, but will be happier when our box turtle pen gets rebuilt. Did I tell you? She's gained weight & she's a full pound and a half now!

Turquoise, Steve and Paprika are doing good. I told them it's supposed to rain this week, AGAIN, and Turquoise stares at me all sad.

Turquoise is staring at you? Don't get the heebie jeebies! lol
(ok that was a reference to an email dh got)
Someone wanted to get rid of their weenie dog because he got married & his wife didn't like the way the dog stares at her, it gives her the heebie jeebies so I wondered.. why not keep the dog & get rid of the wife?
It's just a little weenie dog, they stare at you when they want something.. ewww skeddy :::rolling eyes::::

Anyway back to box turtles..
Tell them that rain is good, it'll bring about lots of food for them to eat.

Poor weenie dog. That's like the same lame excuse people give that they're moving and can't take their animals with them.
So is Diogee getting a new brother?
The turtles don't care if the rain brings good things to eat, because they don't actually know the good stuff comes from outside. I dig up worms for them, and they won't eat dandelions or grass from outside.
They all stare at me when they're outside. Turquoise is the only one who comes up to me though. Somewhere around here, I have a picture of Paprika peeking at me from far away. I was feeding worms and she wanted some, but didn't want them from me. She was actually going around and peeking out from different places. She's so cute.

Turquoise is like my Shell E then. Shell E is the only one who looks up at me in recognition without fear like a dog looks up at me. I can't explain it but she's different from other boxes, she's spoiled rotten now. lol
Oh & about the weenie dog, I found out last night that email was supposed to have been a joke & that the photo with it did not show up. Supposedly it was a photo of a weenie dog with a human face on it. I'm glad to know it was just a joke, so no Diogee isn't getting a brother.
