New Milksnake Morph?

ZFelicien Apr 26, 2005 12:30 AM

I purchased a Male (i regret not getting the pair) pueblan milk this weekend, to pair up with a female i alreayd own. i didn't really look at him at the Expo, but when i got home i noticed he had two spots on his side... they are white with red tipping, it appears to be "albino white" not regular white like his bands... have any of you Pueblan breeders seen any thing like this B4?

not the best pix but i hope you can see what i mean

Zenny for you I hope it is a new morph but i wouldn't hold my breath for the big bucks to roll in. I know a guy in Florida that has hondurans that have simular white spots on them. He has even produced it in different years but not very consistently. At Daytona he tried to sell them for $100 ech on Sat and then down to $65 on Sunday and nobody even looked twice. Though I bet if Terry had them on his table they would have went for $200 but that is the great thing about having a good name. So I guess I am saying prove it out in a couple years and in the mean time make a name for yourself with what you do have. You have some great kings so it should be easy. LOL
Good Luck

Honestly i hope to "Have a name" in this industry some day.

i just hope if i stumble across something new, i don't get on of those "it can't be pure" comments

N E way.. thanx Jason

Yeah, good luck with that. I know what you mean. I have a big ol' male sinaloan that has always produced a lot of white bellied babies when bred to my females. A friend thought it was something cool and has since bred them together and has sinaloans that are all red except at the tail where they are washed out red/white. I shoulda kept working with them as well.
Don't know if yours is anything other than an aberrant band or whatever, but I'd keep it to breed back to its young someday.

Thats a magnificent albino nelson. I am going to the next show. Nothing like seeing what your going to buy in person and watching it eat.
Thanks

Looks like it might have been the beginning of an aberrant triad. Notice how the white is surrounded by black pigment just like the normal bands are.

that would make sense to me if there wasn't red tipping on the white and if the white was the same cream-ish color like his bands...

Thanx thou! "

ZFelicien Apr 28, 2005 11:07 AM

ZF, if you look closely at the closeup view of your snake there are some interesting khaki-brown scales on the "black" ring of the uppermost triad. do those show up when you view the snake in person or is that just some phenomenon of the photography & perhaps flash? a pretty snake, regardless.

That's actually red on top the black... it may not be any thing special but it's really interesting to me... Thanx for the compliment
