Rack Size v. Animal Size

CJBianco Apr 26, 2005 12:45 PM

Other than the C=2X formula where C=circumfrence of rack and X=length of animal...

At what sizes (lengths/weights) do your animals warrant a larger rack system?

Example: Hatchlings-500g (15qt Sterilite) 500g-1200g (28qt Sterilite) 1200g-3000g (41qt Sterilite) 3000g (custom)

Just curious when to switch...

Thanks In Advance,
Chris

Not that I'm any expert by any means, but:

*Adults (over 1000 grams) are in CB 70s,
*Juvies (300-1000 grams) are either in CB 70s or Sweaterboxes (larger ones or more active ones get the CB 70s)
*Hatchlings (up to 300 grams) in 12 quart sterilites.

However, I do have a pair of 300-400 gram juvies in a CB70 and I do have 5 newly acquired hatchlings all in one sweaterbox.
