Anyone ever seen a sav, or any monitor do this?

My 2 year old savannah did something ive never seen before the other day while eating mice. I was feeding her mice from tongs, and thought to myself, what would happen if i held on while she tried to take it from the tongs. she grabbed it, kinda pulled on it, shook back and forth, then did a death roll like crocs do, and tore the mouse right in half. And by death roll I don't mean just rolling slow, she was moving, she did i think 3 complete turns in the blink of an eye. Has anyone else seen this behaviour?

This behavior is not uncommon. I have seen my Boscs, Albigs, and Niles perform the monitor death roll.
It's always interesting to see them do things you wouldn't expect.

Lots of 'animals' do the death roll when they get more in their mouth than they can chew! Its a way of breaking up the meat into gulpable sizes....They also do this as a form of escape from being held as well.... very impressive behavior.
