If I am out of line, excuse me. There are safer ways to hold Micrurus than "behind the ears". Unless venom is being extracted, holding them by the tail with the body resting on a hook is a helluva lot safer.

This perticular animal was WAY to fiesty to grab it by the tail. A hook was WAY out of reach (I would of lost the animal). This was the only way. Trust me, this was done the safest way possible! My life is not something I take lightly.

That is an incredible coral, and a spectacular photo. I wish we had corals here in So. Cal.

Nice job

Although I would of liked to keep it around there are to many young kids around here. My family wanted me to kill it. I tried to explain to them why it should not be killed but you know how ignorant people can be! I took the Coral out to the Everglades where it will find a nice home away from people. This is the first Coral I've found in great shape, it was nice and fat. This is only the 4th Coral (saved 3 - other was ran over till it no longer moved) I've seen while living at my house for 12yrs. Only other venomous I've seen around my house was a water moc. next door. I was unable to save that animal.
