Why doesn't any one on TV try this

Rottenweiler9 Apr 26, 2005 08:00 PM

I was thinking about this. Why doesn't Austin Stevens, Corwin or any of them go deep deep into caves to find huge retics. I bet there is a record breaker somewhere in there. Steve Irwin went into one but not very far. Just wondering.

Austin Stevens did an episode where he was "herping" for retics...of course, he found the biggest, baddest retic he could in Borneo. I highly suspect that like most animals he "finds" on his shows, it was a captive snake used as a prop. Either that or I need to take him out with me on all my herp adventures 'cause he sure finds the biggest and best looking specimens of what he's looking for (i.e. 15 ft. king cobras, huge West African gaboon vipers [in EAST AFRICA NO LESS ), massive Fer-de-lances, and extremely rare, huge bushmasters). Yup, either the animals are plants or Steven's needs to take me out with him sometime.

They only have to eat a couple times a year, and I am sure they come out eat a cow and if no one sees them in time make it back in there, thats just my thought on it.

Ya the animals he finds are calm, I kinda thought that when he found that Anaconda.
