Gambelia wislizenii - today in Idaho

snakepimp Apr 26, 2005 08:49 PM

Here's a picture of a Leopard lizard I caught today about 3 miles up the Silver City Road, South of Murphy ID, in Owyhee county. I have been trying to find one for a naturalistic Idaho Native Plant Vivarium I am building.

in situ:

in temporary enclosure at home:

What do you think?

I built myself a 9 X 9 outdoor pen that attaches to my deck. I keep collareds and chuckwallas in there from May-Sept in central Illinois.

Those leopard lizards are awesome and I think you'll really enjoy having then in your plant vivarium. It looks really nice!

Yeah, we actually have a pretty strong population of them, supposedly...I just never got to see any until yesterday.
That's a great outdoor enclosure!
