Alternative Feeding Pics...

Today, after feeding mice to my Columbia County, FL Eastern Kings, I was holding the male for a while. Several times while holding him, he tried to eat my hand, which gave me an idea. I put the male back in the cage, thawed a couple pieces from a chicken gizzards/hearts package, and rubbed some mice on them (which may not have been necessary). I offered the first piece to the female, and while she seemed confused by it, she bit into it and swallowed it down. I gave her the second, larger piece, which after a moment of prodding, she decided to chow down on. I've read on this board that birds are great for getting snakes to grow fast, though the chicken gizzards/hearts themselves are obviously lacking in calcium. Here are some pictures of her taking the second piece:

One of the folks on the ratsnake (or maybe corn)forum says he gives drumsticks to some of his snakes as a treat every so often.
Haven't tried it yet. Duffy

I wonder if he still has any...
If you could use hatchling Muscovy ducks (maybe freeze/thaw) then do I have a source for you!

I haven't been able to get a hold of him by phone. I emailed him and his mother emailed back saying that he was at a snake show and would get back to me in a week.

I'm sure my snakes would go after the ducks. If you've got a source, I'm willing to give them a try.
