LOL I could not resist. I have to agree with Zenexotics, on both accounts .

I have heard during a male to male encounter they do not stick each other LOL, but will nudge into one another, in a pushing manner.

If you feel them they are not sharp or even real hard, strange, I had to feel Zimbas, the first day, I too am quite curious, hehehee.

I guess that depends on the specis. Male deremensis will attempt a stabbing motion. After a staged territorial dispute with a smaller male(to stimulate breeding), I tried to move my normall docile male deremensis. HE was still in a fit of testosterone, and he stabbed me - very deliberatly, I might add. Right in the palm of my hand - it drew blood. Very sharp, and certainly hard. I have noticed that deremensis horns seem sharper than most others - THORN sharp, in some instances.

Mostly, it IS pushing and showing though.

hmmm...I'd have thought them not terribly sharp but thought they would be hard. It was your little Werneri's that prompted me to start that thread
