Scarlet snakes in Cuba?

caecilianman02 Apr 27, 2005 06:05 PM

Hi,

If the brown Anole was introduced to Florida on ships etc., than wouldn't Florida herps be transported to and from Cuba as well? I know that sometimes stowaway herps arrive in Cuba on trade ships from the U.S. I was wondering if it would be possible to find the Scarlet snake, Cemophora coccinea, on this island?

Scarlet Snakes don't seem like a good stowaway candidate. I think a much more likely canditate would be a young Ratsnake.
