Is this an Angel Island Chuck?

casesilva Apr 27, 2005 06:53 PM

Hi,
I am getting this cutie on Friday and I was told that it was an Angel Island. I am just starting to learn the species of the chucks.
Thanks.

First of all I saw the add of the Angel Island Chuck, Sauromalus hispidus in the classifieds from the people in MI as I am in MI. The one in the add was a hispidus. The one pictured here is not the same one in the add and is not a hispudis as far as I can make out from the pic. It looks like a common chuck. I think you better check these people out if this is the animla they said you are getting. The price of 150 in the add was a decent price for an angel but way too much for a common chuck. Did you send money already? Tom

I should of did more research.

I don't have the expertise to say whether or not it's an angel island. But, it sure is cute! I don't know if it makes you feel any better, but I paid $150 35 shipping for my cb common chuck last year. Captive bred chucks are hard to come by, especially at this time of year.

It should have been: $150 plus 35 shipping.

Alice,
I really fell in love with her when she sent me the pic. I guess I will be posting more pics here once I get her tomorrow. Any words of advice on the new baby?

My cb baby has been really problem free. I've found that mealworms are the way to his heart I give him a couple everyday by hand as a treat.

last week, and I look a couple times a day, I'm a lizard nerdo, hehehehe !

But it was not a common chuck in the ad. Nothing against commons, I have some, I love em all, but the pic you have is not what was advertised.

Maybe they sent the wrong pic???? I would check before they send the chuck.

Oh and hey a late "WELCOME," super glad to have you !
