breeding project?

I am going out west this summer and wont to bring back a few lizards and snakes, and I was wondering what animals I can bring back. to alabama.

That question is too difficult to answer for me...each state has their own law of what you can catch and how many you can keep. Not only that, but it gets even more difficult in that you need to purchase out-of-state licenses to catch, and you have to look into getting permits in some cases to export them out of the region of capture. When I have collected some lizards before, I got a hunting/fishing license for that particular state, and I also requested a free export permit which basically showed what I was collecting and that I was going to be taking it home with me. There are lots of hoops to jump through. Best thing you can do is find the state you want to herp the most, focus on it, and find out as much as you can on specifics for that region. Then you can get answers from people that may know that area already.
