my uromastyx is teething!!!??? WHATTTT!!!????

demonusdrummer Apr 27, 2005 08:21 PM

My Uro has been shedding, so he rubs his head a lot against rocks and logs and stuff around the cage. Hes active, runs around, eats and such. and today i saw him rubbing his head, and after, i looked at his mouth and something was hanging off his mouth, so i plucked it off, and i looked at it. IT WAS TEETH!! i looked inside his mouth and hes missing a little chunk out of his teeth arrangement. I got about 4-6 teeth from his mouth. I dont know if this is normal, is it? im worried. thanks for any input, i would appreciate it.

From what I've read, AFAIR, Uros have one set of teeth that are individual while young and then fuse into uppers and lowers as they age, but my memory could be in error.
