Breeders Rack question????

Hello
I'm in the process of building a breeder rack. I'm going to use melamine and sweater boxes. I have a question regarding the heat source. Where exactly is the heat tape placed? Is it on the flooring sections of each shelf attached to the melamine? IF anyone has pics, I would appreciate it...Thanks

My racks have a groove routered in the back of the shelf unit where flexwatt heat tape is placed. I prefer belly heat over back heat.
