hi, i'm a first time poster,
yesterday my apartment building experienced an electrical surge that put certain outlets out of commision around the building. luckily, we only lost power in sections of my apartment that didn't effect our uro's tank, however, some other people lost power in their whole apartment. the superintendant was overwhelmed with the building-wide issue and it took him a bit to get everything back to 100%.
basically, it got me thinking about what i would do if we had completely lost power for a significant amount of time and had to keep my uro warm. does anyone have any suggestions for such a situation? i have a singular mali living in a 40 gallon breeder tank.
thanks!

I'm always paranoid about stuff like that, so I've wondered the same thing. You can get long-lasting disposable heat packs for reptiles... It may not be as comfortable as their usual set up, but they are good things to have in case of emergencies, especially in the winter.

Depending on what part of the country you live in/time of the year it might not be that big of a deal.Hot water bottles will work. The water in the hot water heater should stay hot for quite a while.6-12 hr dispoasble heat packs. You could even put on a heavy coat and have them inside close to your skin.
