I took the little guy to an exotic pet store for identification and they say it is a Speckled.
Now I need all the info I can get. Will he be a problem to feed? I am trying a pinkie.

Make sure he has a hide box. Once he feels secure in his new surroundings, chances are he'll feed for you.

You may have to "Brain" the pinky, specs seem to really get off on this.
Good Luck,

Save a Rattlesnake...Skin a Sweetwater Resident!
I don't know about specks but I had two baby Northern pacifics that I was tring to feed. Tryed f/t pinkies in a deli cup several times with no luck. One day I had two live jumpers,I put them in the cage, the snakes both struck them and both eat. Just watch live food they can bite your snake. You can kill the mouse and offer it with tongs.Move it around until the snake strikes it then leave it in front of them.
Good luck, Dean
