This may seem like a silly question but can collareds eat silkworms?
I have a friend who has a beardie and he can eat them and I hear that they are highly nutricious but not sure if I can feed my collared them!

Yes, these are caterpillars. My collared lizards didn't like them in particular. I think it is because they move slowly and look at you and say please don't eat me...
They are grey colored and I think the collared really just rather hunt something that moves more.

One of my collareds will eat them once in a while, my other won't touch them. My anoles, on the other hand, eat them like candy.

I gave it once to my collared and she licked it but it was a very dirty fight!
As you may know, silkworms sticks to everything !
So, that silkworm I gave was glued to the carpet and was head up.
Sara crunched its head and the silkworm was still glued to the floor. So, she went crunch and crunchin again to be sure its dead before she ate it half ... and the other half when it unsticked from the carpet.
The next one, she just ignored it ...
I prefer one-sided fight with superworms !

Well I think I may stay away from the silk worms then, very hard to get hold of over here anyway apparentely there is only one place in the uk where I can get them.
Are there any little creatures that you would advise me to feed her as I would like to give her a varied diet if I can. The only things she has at the mo are wax worms - crickets & locusts.
