Sikorae showering

BKnOscar Apr 29, 2005 07:13 AM

i was concerned that my new Sikorae would run off.. kinda like Leah posted .. so i made a shower 'chamber'. i tried it out last night and it seemed to work well for my male. he seemed to relax and drank away, but the female... who needs it!.. didnt seem to enjoy it. how long should i do it? about what temp? a little warm to the touch?

nice, that's exactly what mine looks like. looks good. i keep mine in there anywhere from 15-45 minutes depending on how much time i have. then leave them in there after you shut the water for another 15-30 minutes so they can drink their fill. you will definately want to drill atleast a few holes in each corner. in my exp. those tend to clog up so you may want to put a few about 1/2" up the side as well, those won't clog and the water will run out when it gets that full. the female will likely get used to it after awhile and will stay put. about temp... i put it so it feels just slightly warm to the touch. by the time the water actually gets to the cage it should be the perfect temp ( being cooled by the air)
