Hi everyone,
Heres a PIC of my alligator. Rather new to the whole photography thing, so if anyone sees anything that they feel I could improve on for better pictures, I am completely open to some feedback.
Thanks for looking!!

It is hard to get the feel for a picture when you can't see all of it at once.
Your jpg is too large to fit on most screens, therefore I can't really tell you how good the composition, lighting etc. is because I have to scroll back and forth and can't get a sense of the whole picture.
Try resizing the pic to less than 800 pixels wide so we can see the whole thing and give you some feedback.

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely keep that in mind. I always seem to forget that when you first upload the pic, the way it displays right then isn't the way it will always display. Good advice though and I will try to post another of a different animal and see how I can work that one.
Thnx again!!
Great picture. What really makes this shot for me is the action evident in the water around the gator. It gives a sense of motion / excitement. Focus and composition are nice also. Well done!
What settings?
Cheers,
WK
Well to be quite honest with you, I have no idea how to even tell what settings I have. Like I said, this photography thing is something I just got into because I liked alot of the photos being posted in here. As far as the technicalities, I have no clue, lol.
I am still trying to learn this stuff. If anyone knows of any good sources of information on improving photography I would be greatly appreciative.
Thanks for the compliments, glad you liked it.
In Windows XP, right click on the .JPG file, and select properties. Click on the SUMMARY tab, and you will see the exposure information that was saved with the picture. By the way, nice looking alligator!
