corn stopped shedding

lacykitty83 Apr 29, 2005 03:56 PM

About 3 days ago my Corn snake looked like it was about to shed, its color became very dull, eyes clouded over, and skin felt kinda rubbery, just like the last time. When we took it out today its eyes were no longer cloudy, he was very active, almost like he has shed, but his skin is still dull and there is no shed. Is it possible to have a snake start to shed and then not?

He is probably just in between the cloudy phase and the actual shedding. Mine (and most others from what I understand) get cloudy and dull looking for a couple days, then seem to clear up again right before they shed.

they can be tricky sometimes. i have a 3 foot plus ghost corn that went cloudy, then cleared up, then shed and i didn't even notice it. he was in his hide box the whole time. usually after they clear up they will shed with in a couple days. still good idea to provide humidity at this time to help with the shed.
