some pics of my milk snake with my new kodak DX6490...... how'd i do?

I set him on a branch out front of my house and took these shots. Im really new to this but im lovein every min of it. let me know how im doing so far. I know its no Minolta or Nikon but i like it and it works. LoL

First off, Sinaloans are rather terrestrial snakes so it looks kind of strange to see one on a branch. But then again, it is your photo and my opinion is just that,....my opinion.
At first, I didn't like the shot on the chain link fence, but after thinking about it for a while, I see something interesting. Seeing this snake, many generations removed from the wild and selectively bred on a man made structure makes you think for a few seconds, which is what art is supposed to do.

Im really new to this but im lovein every min of it. let me know how im doing so far.

This is a question you have to ask yourself. What matters is that you are happy with your pics, not what others say. In order to achieve this, you have to be your own harshest critic. Look at your pics, and decide what you like and don't like about them. The figure out what you have to do next time to improve that.

I know its no Minolta or Nikon but i like it and it works.

As I have said here many times before, good photographers take good pictures, not good cameras.
