natural hybrids

Wondering if yellow green hybrids occur in the wild, or if there are hills separating drainage basins that would prevent this. I wondered in particular if both species are found in Bolivia`s Pantanal watershed. This might increase the chances. Thank you.

As far as Bolivia goes, the green anaconda is not as widespread as yellows and I would honestly see it more likely E. notaus bred with E. beniensis but since beniensis is not often seen I would think it would take a very extensive survey to find an example of crosses in the wild. But I bet it has happened on a few accounts with the 3 species one "could" find in Bolivia. I bet Renee has some contacts that could help you more with that.

The main area of range overlap between notaeus and murinus appears to occur in the Brazilian pantanal region of southwestern Brazil. I have never heard of any reports of natural hybrids between the two, but that doesn't mean it has not happened.
