i bought a pair of jungle carpet pythons, and a green tree python, all adults. the jcps probe very obviously male and female. the gtp probed about 7 scales. heres the dilemma. the gtps tail is getting huge. its about as big around as a golf ball. right after the cloaca, it thins to normal. it has deficated once since i have had it, and it eats one f/k small to medium rat once a week. i cannot be compacted because i use a newspaper substrate. the guy that sold me the trio said he had the male jcp in with gtp for a while. he said he wasnt sure if they hooked up but said the male was trying. what i want to know is if there is any sure fire way to tell if the gtp is gravid. she is exibiting some body swelling, but she has not stopped eating. any help would be great. i cannot post pictures right now though. thanks for looking and for any possible help. greg
