The Platty is my favorite too. I wasn't sure if the question was about top-selling snakes or wish-list snakes.

A ghost is a snake that you cannot keep in the shelf long enough. A true yellow belly is a snake that people are banging down your door for because they are soooo much cheaper then a mojave or actually a lesser and produce a gorgeous white snake as well as sooooo much other cool stuff. And a spider is an animal that people have been wishing for since they were 30k. Now that spiders are down to such a low price people are all over them. I dont think there is one other snake in the 5k price range besides a spider that does so much I.E. Bumble Bee, Killer Bee, ghost spider. Just my two cents and data from what my most popular sellers are over the last year or so. But I cannot say that the others are not popular as well. Pieds are up there, Rick is absolutley right, who wouldnt want a half white snake. The white on a pied is nicer then a lucy in my opinion. They are all popular, give it a year though and the bubble gum, calico and pinstripe will be up there as well.

Stay out of the rain guys and hope to see some of you over @ the hamburg show.

There is a big difference between what people want and what they are buying. We all want the $30K snake but how many of us are buying it? LOL.

To paraphrase Mike Wilbanks...the three genetic crown jewels of the Ball Python morphs are the Albino, Piebald, and Leucistic. These seem to be the most desirable.

However...the most often purchased morphs are probably the Albino, Pastel, and Ghost.

Listen Amir. I've been studying Ball Pythons for well over six months now. I even have my very own 575g Albino male...not to mention a 1200g Normal male. I think I might know more about this topic than you...and your little so-called "Ivory" morph.

Hey Chris, you forgot the LOL...... because if you are serious.... you seriously need some mental help. LOL.

CJBianco Apr 30, 2005 08:45 PM

I felt that an "LOL" might be TOO obvious.

Yeah. I can't get the little $#@%!& to eat. I was told this Albino was currently feeding on live rats, but has accepted frozen-thawed a few times in the past. (He doesn't seem to remember his frozen-thawed era.)

One of these days he'll eat a frozen-thawed again...

There are over 80 known morphs and more popping up every year and I for one want at least a trio of each one.
I dare anyone to tell me that they don't..

oddballpythons Apr 30, 2005 10:11 PM

To be happy I would need at least a 1.5 ratio. That way I can do all the cross breeding my brain is dying to do.
