What are some good source of fiber for tortoises?

DragonDavy Apr 30, 2005 10:14 AM

What kind of fiber foods do some of you give your tortoises?
Would love to know what kind of foods some of you offer.

Thanks for the help

Grass from the yard.

Chopped timothy hay. This has to be mixed well into the greens or softened pellets before my torts will eat it.

My torts eat lots of timothy hay. I also let them graze in the yard. That is thier main diets then I mix them up kale, collard greens, mustard seed greens, dandylion greens, parsley, escarole, red leaf lettuce and chickory all in one big salad about every 2 to 3 days.
