What PETA and other organization do not understand about killing animals for fur and food is this.

The animals are domestic and we give them life for one purpose. At least honest people within the U.S. (There are illegal opperations)

Oh and when they say, the animals belong in the wild not in homes. Sadly many animals have no choice, either live in a nonexistant habitat (themselves not exist) or continue to exist in captivity where poeple care for the animals. There is at times NO natural habitat, or very little. If the animal was not in captivity it may, or actually would, be extinct.

As long as animals are treated properly (whatever their purpose for life/existance) I do not see the reason for not allowing those who choose to to own exotic animals, or wear fur coats, or eat meat. If you don't like those practices simply don't practice them.

Sorry, I just get annoyed by irrational and illogical people.

LOL. What I do not get about banning exotics is, what happens to all the captive exotics if there ever is a full ban on them? Well they must be too dangerous and we must keep them unhumanly so what do we do? kill them? release them to there deaths? Or do we keep them and not breed them?

Okay, so supposidly everyone who keeps exotics is mistreating their animals. So PETA comes in and takes them, and kills them. Does that make any sense? NO!

First, they are usually endangered, threatened, or exticnt in the wild. Thus futher hurting the species, we are keeping alive. Not to mention, the accepted means of killing animals is through lethal injection.

BIG probelm when reptiles are concerned. Being cold blooded the poison takes much longer to circulate and cause its effect. I remember not to long ago a poster had a male boa that had a broken spine, a crushed section. He had to put the animal down, it was given three injection equivalent to those used on 60 lb. dogs. One would kill a dog instantly, but three in a snake and it still took (I think 30 min.) a long time to die. And these people want to say we are not being Humane?

I love Veal, the calf was born for food, her parents were born and raised to produce offspring for food, and to later be food themselves. If it weren't for my hunger, they would not have existed!

I'm with you on this Chris, I am also a fur trapper and have been dealing with those freaks for 20 plus years.

I'm sure everyone here does their very best to care for all their animals. Yet these organizations keep trying to take not only our animals but our rights as well.

Find out their agenda...then you will know why. Andy
