That is NOT a granite. That is a DIAMOND. Granites are not CLEAR. Duh!

(*sigh* Too bad MY wife didn't know the difference.)

Tammy,

It may be a genetic Granite. It may not be a genetic Granite. Who knows? In other words...speckling alone does not a Granite make.

Good Luck,
Chris =)

Hmmmmm... sounds like another thread may have had you second guessing how I may have taken your post. No worries. This particular hatchling is a farmed baby I picked up at the show from Ben Siegel. He pointed out that she was a granite (granites aren't even "my thing", I prefer reduced & color morphs), but I just loved her temperment (not in the least head shy at all). I love the pic of her in my hand

And your post actually had got me thinking... "A diamond morph?" LOL. I tend to get hyper-focused on snakes, and I had to laugh and give my semi-snake phobic hubby credit for not only putting up with me & my snakes, but for encouraging me as well.

I was not in the least offened or hurt by your post... Keep them coming, I learn something new every day.

Looks like that animal very well could be a Genetic Granite but you will have to breed it to be sure.
