moving to Canada

Hi.
I am considering taking a job in Canada (Calgary, Alberta). I am a U.S. citizen, and live in Madison, WI with my two turtles (male RES and female painted). If I take the job, I would like to take my turtles with me to Calgary. Does anyone have experience or knowledge about bringing turtles into Canada? I imagine I would need a permit, but do not know where to begin finding this out. Thank you in advance for any information on this topic.

Hrmmm, well I believe those 2 are actually illegal in Alberta (as with most aquatic Turtles) I think depending how long youve had them and as long as your not going to sell them you might be able to get a permit. Try talking to the local Fish and Wildlife organization they'd be the ones to give a permit.
