Kevin's Sav

kap10cavy Apr 30, 2005 11:39 PM

I went and picked up Kevin's sav today after leaving the Dixie show. I brought it home and placed it in a large rubbermaid tub with alot of cypress mulch and a 50 watt halogen floodlight over a piece of 2X8 oak. It is slightly dehyderated but not to bad.
It drank without a problem and dug into the cypress. I have seen it basking 3 times so far before going back under.
It seems friendy enough, not even a hiss when I moved it to the rubbermaid. I will offer it some dusted roaches and a chopped up mice tomorrow. I am calling it a "it" because I didn't want to stress it to determine sex yet.
On a side note, I say the most obese sav today at Kevins place of employment. I made reccomendations to the feeding and care of the savs at the store, whether they take my advise is all up to them.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Well, this sav aint afraid of food, it ate 6 large dusted deatheads and an adult mouse. Then it went to bask.
I do believe it will be a nice lizard.
