Well blue beauties are great snakes to work with, but do realize, this is not a cornsnake. The can be kept alot like corns, I keep mine at 75-80*F approx. 45% humidity, which is the exact same as my corns.
Be prepared for a much longer snake. My breeder male was 8'5" over two years ago, and I've had hatchlings at six months old reaching 36" or more! They are quite active, inquisitive, and intelligent snakes. And with exception for a few jumpy hatchlings and/or wc specimens, I've never really found one I'd call "aggressive" like most people say they are.
Also, they guys have wicked metabolic rates and especialy when younger will eat whatever you can throw at them without become obese like other snakes do if fed more frequently. I'm not saying you can feed them daily, but every three days would do nothing but make them longer faster, from my experience with them.
I've you have any other questions, fire away...attatched is a picture of one of my females with her clutch last year.

Thank you conrad. How about the setup. How big of a cage do they need, lighting.I want to make sure they are comfortable and happy. I read that 55 gal is big enough but not sure. I would prefer larger, but how large? I have one more question for you cavedwelling rats. What do you think of them? I am also interested in them. Thanks Annie
I keep my adults in cages just a bit bigger than a 55gal. As far as size, its up to you...if you can't find the snake(s) in the enclosure, it may be too big! lol
The cave dwelling are cool snakes too. Haven't had the chance to work with them personally...yet. Hopefully this year will be different. Plan on working them very similar to my blues and taiwans.
