Well any type of feeding that isn't voluntary is going to be stressful. However a pinkie pump forcefeeds the baby snake in a less stressful manor. Normally to force feed a small snake you would gently open its mouth and push a small size pinkie about halfway down its throat this is dangerous if you are not experianced because it can strech and sometimes rip the throat.
a pinkie pump shredds the pinkie inside of the syringe as your pushing the liquified pinkie down the throat its alot better and alot safer way of force feeding stubborn hatchlings. Just be sure not to over use it give them a chance to eat on their own
try live fod if f/t doesnt work try scenting ect ect. use force feeding as a last result.

As a last resort, it does the job. Use other options first; braining, live vs. df. etc. My PP been collecting dust for the last 10 years and I hope it stays that way.
